Michael Schindhelm | „FRIDAY IN VENICE“ AT THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT IN STRASBOURG

„Friday in Venice“ at the European Parliament in Strasbourg

LAVAPOLIS.COM, the trans media storytelling website hosting the story about the heterotopic island Lavapolis and the debate game “Friday in Venice”, will be launched at the European Youth Media Days 2014 and on the occasion of the European Youth Event 2014 in the European Parliament of Strasbourg on May 8.

Initiator and writer Michael Schindhelm and the actor Gabor Biedermann, embodying the fictional character Friday, will present their project to the invited media from all over Europe.

The European Youth Media Days (EYMD) range among the biggest events in Europe dedicated to young journalists. The European Youth Event (EYE) will gather around 5,000 youngsters from all over Europe. These active young people will be discussing the economic, social and political situation of the European Union through different themes: Digital Revolution and Data Protection, Youth Unemployment, Sustainable Development, Future of Europe, and Europe as a Global Player.

While LAVAPOLIS.COM is going online with the story of Lavapolis, its resident Friday will start a virtual travel through Europe which will escalate to a number of performances at the Biennale of Venice in August. On his journey, Friday will intrude in public discussions on the future of the continent and debate with his internet audience about some of the hottest topics of European politics today.
