Neue Heimat – Dresden 2025
On January 11 Lord Mayor Dirk Hilbert, Deputy Mayor for Culture Annekatrin Klepsch and curator Michael Schindhelm announced the City of Dresden’s campaign motto in the competition for the European Capital of Culture 2025. The announcement sparked a local debate about the meaning and values behind “heimat” (German for home, or homeland).
