Soft Power
From February 22 – 25, the stars Singapore symposium will take place for the fourth time under the titel Asia – Times of Transition. Lectures by international guest working in the fields of politics, culture, and economy will discuss global governance strategies and a growing network between Asian states. On the 25th of February, Michael Schindhelm will give a lecture on the topic Soft Power as Political and Business Acumen. Alongside Michael Schindhelm, Daria Paramonova (CEO Strelka Architects) Mishaal Al Gergawi (director of The Delma Institutes, Abu Dhabi), Li Xin (managing editor Caixin Media, Beijing), and Lim Siong Guan (Advisor to the GIC Group Executive Committee, Singapore) will join the subsequent panel.
On the 22nd of February, strategies of hard power will be introduced by the lecture Alliances and Partnerships: U.S. Commitments in a World of Uncertainty and Insecurity, held by General John R. Allen (former Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition against ISIL).
