October 11 to December 15: NEUE HEIMAT DRESDEN 2025 – Vernissage Exhibition and Performance
Following the Vernissage on 11 October and a talk by Michael Schindhelm, the Capital of Culture Office will reveal the full contents of the bid book. All cooperation partners in the application lead projects as well as actors from the platform process will be given the opportunity to exhibit their work, ideas and visions for a Neue Heimat Dresden 2025. With a special segment for and by migrant communities, the programme underlines the “POWER OF STRANGENESS”, which will be linked to the Capital of Culture application. One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the performance by the Indonesian artist Uji Handoko Eko Saputro (Hahan) following his research in Dresden on invite of the European Capital of Culture Office. The event year of the European Capital of Culture Office will be concluded with a powerful farewell to the Dresden presentation delegation before they depart for Berlin in December, in cooperation with the German Hygiene Museum Dresden.
